IGNOU evaluation system, Evaluation system in IGNOU

India’s most popular & biggest distance education provider ‘Indira Gandhi National Open University’ follows double layer evaluation system as under:-

Practical Evaluation: It is a continue process of evaluation through tutor marked assignments, project works, practical assignment, in which students submit their assigned work with in the given time period at their respective study center or as mentioned in the progrmme guide; subject counselor/teacher provides help through counseling to the registered students in their respective subjects for better understanding.

Term-end Examination: IGNOU organizes term-end exam in written form twice every year in the month of June & December at all study centers across the country. Every student has to participate & qualify in the both evaluation system.

Both methods have proportionate weightage in the evaluation system followed by IGNOU. University (IGNOU) awarded Gold Medals who came first in the first attempt during the during the annual convocation ceremony of the University.
