IGNOU Kochi Programmes, IGNOU Kochi Center Courses

“Kerla” the highest literate state in compression to other state of India situated in the south west corner of India. Kochi is the place where Regional Center of Indira Gandhi National Open University ‘IGNOU’ is situated for the people of the state Kerla and the Union Territory of Lakshadeep.

This center came into existence on 17th November 1988. At the time of existence it was located in the Cochin University of Science and Technology’s campus. Operating from this campus Kochi Regional Center has found that the space allotted to them is not sufficient; the government of the state Kerla has taken the responsibility to pay the rent charges as reimbursement basis & the center was shifted in a rented premises located in Mamangalam near Palarivattom. In 2002 Kochi center was shifted in its own constructed building in a part of 1acre land provided by the state government on lease basis at Kaloor. Kochi center offers various study programmes for the people of Kerla & the Union Territory of Lakshadeep as distance learning/open education spread over the entire state, offered courses are as under:-
