Hyderabad regional center of Indira Gandhi National Open University came into existence on 2nd February 1987. There is a big network of 60 study centers working across the Andhra Pradesh state in the jurisdiction of the regional center Hyderabad. The two Northern Coastal districts Srikakulam and Vizianagaram are not covered by the regional center Hyderabad.
