IGNOU Srinagar Programmes, IGNOU Srinagar Center Courses

To spread the distance learning/open education in the state of J&K; Indira Gandhi National University has started its operation in 1998 in the Kashmir valley from a single room of the Commerce Faculty of University of Kashmir. Within a very small period of operation of one month, a huge response in various study programme came for the session of January 1999. Srinagar regional center was established in the month of February 1999 to expand its activity in the entire state of J&K including Leh & Kargil. Now Srinagar regional center has 28centers across the state. There is a special study center exist at Central Jail of Srinagar for providing education to the prisoners with the help (fee) of NGOs. Srinagar regional center offers many study programme in the various stream in distance education. Programmes/Courses are as under:-
