Who do not know the capital of Rajasthan “Jaipur” the “Pink City”, was found by Maharaja Jai Singh II, and came into the existence in 1727.

The Regional Center of Indira Gandhi National Open University “IGNOU” for the state of Rajasthan was established on 16th December 1987 in Kota city. In April 1990 it was shifted to Jaipur in rented premises, thereafter on 1st May 2002 this Regional Center was again shifted, but this time it was in its owned building.

Regional Center Jaipur has 50 study centers across the Rajasthan spread in 21 districts out of Western & Eastern Rajasthan. Regional Center Jaipur offers various courses in distance learning/open education to the people of Rajasthan state as pasted below:-
